After ten years of sensitive restoration, the Taj has infused new life into this sixty room private palace to offer visitors a glimpse of the imperial lifestyle of the Nizams who governed the legendary city of Hyderabad. Different suites have unique embellishes such as the Hyderabadi motif, delicate mirror work and Bidri accents.The 3 Grand Royal Suites have spectacular views and are beautifully detailed with traditional flourishes. One of the grand royal suites named the “Begum Suite” situated in the Zenana Wing retains its original character and architecture.The Grand Presidential Suite is a stately duplex suite with a private pool and an exclusive access to Jiva Grande Spa overlooking immaculately manicured gardens. The Victorian style hand painted ceilings, Belgian cut glass chandeliers coupled with the breath taking views of the 400 year old city make the jade room an ideal venue for the Nizam's most beloved ritual – Afternoon Tea. Jade Terrace- The walk way is covered with rose petals and both sides of the path way are lit with dozens of ornate candelabras.At the end of the path way is the dinner setting. The table is dressed in rich silk embroidered linen, with the finest crystal glassware and gold cutlery. A delicious meal follows to the strains of live music as the glistening lights of the city lie at your feet.
Shahi Dastarkhan- Soldiers with mashals in their hands align the entrance to the romantic setting of the Chowki dinner (traditional low level seating.) In the distance, a troupe performs a symphony of Sufi Qawalis. A six course traditional gourmet meal is served by the royal butlers followed by a tasting of flavored hookahs.Theme can be arranged for groups.
Shikaar Ka Khaana- Throughout the centuries, the Nizams of Hyderabad were famed for their sumptuous feasts and their passion for food. Hunting had always been the foremost passion of the sixth Nizam.This barbeque theme offers a royal feast set amidst the intricately manicured Rajasthani gardens with larger than life pit fires slow roasting meats & exotic vegetables, recipes of which have been closely safe guarded by the Nizam's personal chefs. The ambience is further accentuated by traditional ‘chowki’ seating, flavored hookahs and faint fragrance of tube roses spiced with the aromas of the glowing ambers & rich marinades.
Jiva Grande Spa- Experience royal treatments and signature therapies at the luxurious Jiva Grande Spa. The three exclusive treatment rooms at the Spa overlook cascading gardens and offer an ambience of tranquility and solitude.

Billiards Room- As the name suggests the room holds a billiards table which was specially made to order for the Nizam from Burroughes & Watts, London. The room has marvelous embossed camel leather chairs & brilliantly upholstered sofas around the table with two handmade cabinets.Close by is the Gents Card & Chess Room with leather etched walls. An ideal venue for exclusive cocktail receptions, the room exudes a charm of an era gone by.
Palace Library- One of the grandest rooms in the Palace with a ceiling of ornate teak and rosewood coffers with superbly carved panels. With over 5900 books, it has a collection of very rare books such as the first edition of the Titanic, Encyclopedia from the early 1900's and a limited edition collection of the holy Quran in India.
